BLACK CAT BOOK NOOK was conceptualized in January 2022 by Avery Ashmore. It has yet to find it's footing, but Avery is hoping that will happen by 2026.

Avery started this Press in hopes of publishing not only his own books, but the books of other Queer creators with Queer characters in their books. He believes the world needs more Queer-Ran publishing companies and he is a Gay Man and Adaline is a Pansexual Woman.

The name "Black Cat" was decided because Avery has 3 black cats and plans on getting more. Just like black cats, the Queer community has been ostracized by the "normal" community. He wants to give Queer authors and their characters a safe place to publish, review, read, and talk to people.

He hopes Black Cat Book Nook becomes every Queer person's number one stop for all Queer related fiction and non-fiction.
